Happy Red Dress Run Day 2025!
We are so glad you found us!

What is a Red Dress Run:

Red Dress Runs are held by Hash House running clubs all over the world to raise money and awareness for local organizations, while adding fun and enjoyment to running. In many Hash House kennels, this is THE PARTY of the year.  Think Halloween, Mardi Gras, and New Year’s Eve all dolled up in red dresses! How it all started.

The Syracuse On-On-Dog-A Hash House Harriers and Harriettes running club will host their 12th annual Red Dress Run fundraising event on September 6th, 2025, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Central New York Land Trust. This roughly 5 mile road run through the downtown Syracuse area will feature participants wearing red dresses, singing songs, and playing games – all while supporting an excellent local cause.

Charity Fundraiser:

SOH4 has been proud to make each year’s Red Dress Run a fundraising event for a local charity. This year, all proceeds from our RDR will benefit Central New York Land Trust. The Central New York Land Trust works to preserve natural areas across our region—ensuring forests, wetlands, and open spaces stay wild, healthy, and accessible for generations of runners, hikers, birds, bugs, and yes, even drunken weirdos like us. They fight to conserve the places we love to play in—without paving paradise or putting up a Starbucks. Supporting them means protecting local ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and the trails we haven’t discovered yet. As hashers, we know the joy of getting lost in nature—whether we’re bushwhacking through the woods, splashing through streams, or accidentally falling in mud. But all that wild beauty we enjoy doesn’t protect itself. We wanted to give back to those that are protecting the lands we hash on!

We are excited to share that we raised $3000 for the CNY Land Trust! Thank you for everyone that donated!
